The EMC Group's revenues have grown rapidly over the first half-year of 2014

The consolidated revenue of the EMC Instytut Medyczny Group rose in the first half of 2014 by 51 per cent to PLN 122.7 million. The spectacular growth in revenue was largely aided by the financial performance of the recently acquired companies - Zdrowie in Kwidzyń and Regional Health Center in Lubin, which contributed to sales rise by more than PLN 42 million.

The operating profit of the EMC Group reached PLN 1.1 million in the first six months this year, while consolidated EBITDA stood at PLN 7.6 million.

"We are working on improving the functioning of the acquired hospitals in order to enhance the quality of medical services offered to our patients and to ensure profitability to these entities. Major investments to modernize and redevelop infrastructure have been launched "- said Piotr Gerber, the President of EMC Instytut Medyczny.

“Investment projects to expand John Paul II Geriatric Hospital in Katowice and St. Anne’s Hospital in Piaseczno continued over the first quarter of 2014. Also, works on modernizing Bukowiec Hospital Kowary were in progress "- he added.

In the second quarter of 2013, EMC Group expanded by acquiring "Zdrowie" Company , which runs Kwidzyń Hospital. The results of the medical facility have been consolidated since 1 August last year.
In February 2014, the Regional Health Centre, which manages the Hospital in Lublin, was purchased. The facility in Lower Silesia with a bed strength of 400 beds has 10 Departments, an Adult Care Home as well as a Hospice. The Hospital Departments include: Internal Medicine Department with the following subunits: Respiratory Medicine and Allergology, General Surgery and Surgical Oncology, Rheumatology, Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Trauma and Orthopedics Department, an Admissions Unit and a Hospice.

In June 2014 St Roch’s Hospital Ozimek, owned by EMC Instytut Medyczny, was accredited by National Centre for Quality in Health Care.
