EMC Group expands by the Hospital in Lubin

On February 11, 2014, an agreement to purchase 51,730 shares (100 percent) in the Regional Health Center from the district office in Lubin that manages Hospital in Lubin, was entered into by EMC Instytut Medyczny. The selling price was fixed at PLN 30,003,400, PLN 580 per share.

‘I am delighted that our Group has expanded by the Regional Health Center. I am convinced that the experienced medical staff of the Hospital in Lubin will add positive value to the Group EMC Instytut Medyczny and that the services offered at the Hospital in Lubin will contribute to enhance comprehensive medical services available for the patient ‘- said Piotr Gerber President of EMC.

‘In two years time the Hospital in Lublin will have been thoroughly redeveloped with multimillion investments made. This will certainly improve both quality standards of treatment and hospital stays ‘- he added.

The District Board is pleased with the the conditions under which agreement for sale of shares in the Regional Health Center was concluded, considering the investor - EMC Instytut Medyczny S.A. - as guaranteeing the stable growth of the hospital, and consequently improved conditions and standard of medical services offered to residents of the District of Lubin, which the former owner had always wanted "-said Adam Myrda

The hospital in Lubin which belongs to the RHC includes the following departments: Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Trauma and Orthopedics Department, an Admissions Unit or a Hospital Emergency Department as well as a Hospice.
