Report no 53/2016

Pursuant to §5 (1) (22) of the Regulation of the Minister of Finances of 19 October 2009 on current and periodic information provided by issuers of securities, the Management Board of EMC Instytut Medyczny S.A. informs that Mr Maciej Piorunek was appointed a member of the Management Board of the Company, effective 1st October 2016, by the Supervisory Board at the meeting held on 30th September 2016.
In accordance with the submitted statement, Mr Maciej Piorunek does not conduct business activity competitive towards the Company, nor does he hold any shares in companies competitive towards the Company as a shareholder in a general partnership, personal partnership or as a member of association of capital’s body or a member of a body in other competitive legal person. Mr Maciej Piorunek has not been entered into the Register of Insolvent Debtors under National Court Register Act.

Mr. Maciej Piorunek has been engaged with the EMC Instytut Medyczny SA since the beginning of 2015. Within the Group, EMC Hospitals he has served as: the President of the Regionalne Centrum Zdrowia sp. z o.o. in Lubin and director of the Restructuring Projects Office and Director of Development.
He obtained a MA degree in Political Science (Public Administration) at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wrocław. For several years, he has been involved with the medical market in Poland, where he has specialized in managing health care institutions and  transforming ownership of  independent healthcare centres.
He gained professional experience, among others, working for Supra Holding SA, where he served as the Vice-President (2013-2014). He also created a National Programme of Joint Hospital Purchasing, he had previously served as a president of Milicz Medical Center sp. o.o. (2010-2012) and the director of a Group of  Public Health Care Facilities in Milicz (2008-2011).
