A decision was made to reorganize medical facilities that are part of the EMC Group – which involves discontinuing of medical treatment in selected departments.
The Management Board of EMC Instytut Medyczny SA (the "Company") announces that today it has decided to start reorganizing medical facilities included in the Capital Group of the Company, including discontinuing medical treatment provided within selected branches.
Therefore, a decision was made to close down the Obstetrics and Gynecology departments as well as the Neonatology departments in the Mikulicz Hospital in Świebodzice belonging to the EMC Group and in the St. George's Hospital in Kamień Pomorski, which is a part of the EMC Instytut Medyczny SA structure.
The reason for closing down the above departments is that it has become impossible to provide medical services of relevant quality, which in turn may affect the safety of patients in these branches due to the small scale of surgeries and personnel shortage.
The revenue in Szpital Mikulicz in Świebodzice from the implementing of medical procedures amounts to as follows:
1. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology:
a) For 2017 = PLN 1 579,550.73
b) In the period 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018 = PLN 1,237,889.75
2. The Neonatology Department was:
a) For 2017 = PLN 723 736.72
b) In the period from 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018 = PLN 508,377.62
The income regarding medical activity in Mikulicz Hospital in Świebodzice, taking into account indirect costs in the area amounted to as follows:
1. Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology:
a) For 2017 = - PLN 708,130.69
b) In the period 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018 = PLN- 731,990. 75
2. The Department of Neonatology:
a) For 2017 = - PLN 95,910.68
b) In the period from 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018 = - PLN 145,706.12
The revenue in St. George' Hospital in Kamień Pomorski regarding the implementing of medical procedures amounted to as follows:
1. The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics:
a) For 2017 = PLN 1,752,842.32
b) In the period 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018 = PLN 752,800.93
2. The Department of Neonatology was:
a) For 2017 = PLN 540,024.48
b) In the period 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018 = PLN 217,239
The revenue in St. George's Hoapital in Kamień Pomorski including indirect costs amounted to as follows:
1. The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics:
a) For 2017 = - PLN 403,204.65
b) In the period from 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018 = - PLN 507,318.35
2. The Department of Neonatology was:
a) For 2017 = - PLN 137,317.90
b) In the period 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018 = - PLN 193,434.74
The Company shall announce any further important decisions made concerning the aforementioned process in its oncoming current reports.
